RESEARCH

Research and academics will form the cornerstones of Vedanta University.  World-class  facilities, including laboratories and infrastructure, will enable cutting-edge research in centers of excellence across various fields including health sciences, biotechnology, nanotechnology, agricultural sciences, engineering, design, public policy, and the social sciences.  Such research will produce knowledge that will have fundamental impact on the economic, social, and intellectual development of India. The University will network with other institutions of advanced research throughout the world, participate in global research debates, and will emerge as a leader in knowledge generation.

All endeavors of faculty and students will be based on original research and critical analysis of peer research to advance the frontiers of knowledge. Research excellence and original contribution to existing knowledge will carry significant weight in tenure, promotion and other academic decisions. Generation and dissemination of knowledge for the betterment of society will remain one of the most important reasons for the existence of faculty in the university - the other being training young minds to be true to their pursuits through rigor, reflection, research and debate.

The faculty will bring their research to the classroom and expect the same from the students in their efforts. The students will be expected to learn critical analysis and technical writing skills through various research reports, analyses of situations and final thesis.
